Adventure 3, Option 1

(Agree with Chirch)

It is only two days later that the chirch calls on you, after the funaral of a certen Himo-sis's funaral.

(Shandon GP limit is now 2000.)
shoping
investagate chirch: Accusations of corruption.

Climeing the stares once more, you hear quite a arguement going on inside, odd for this time of day. A nearby accolite notices you, and comes over.

(RP)

You fallow him upstaires, into a smaller, more proffecal-looking office than Himo's. There are two benches , with the orange-robed elven cleric on one benich.

"Well, your lucky today (rank, defalt to adventures), were not going to keep you in this chirch, we have a little errend for you to run. We'd like for you to deliver a letter to a Mr Neviki (Ne-vick-ee), We have been expecting him back for a few weeks now, we think he may be lost...either that, or he's drunk himself to death with those pirates in Pylos... Either way, he should have a doccument that we whould like to obtain. You are to featch him, or failing that, the document, and bring it to a temple of Hetrogenios, perferably this one.

Should you require a reward for your efforts...I belive we could line you up for a advance in rank (or a small bounty). Just know that through the recovery of this document, you will be helping the chirch further its causes.

(No, go to option 2)

(Yes)
Good, I am happy for your enthusiasm. As I said before, he's most likely lost in the woods to the west, or down south in the port of Pylos.

Adventure 2-3 intermision

The three remaining clerics look down from the cealing, and you all end up staring at each other. (Wait 10 seconds).

If adventures are silent, Elf says: "What just happened?" "Adventures?" (look at them)

(I dont know)

In all my years as a priest, this is the first time I have ever wintised a true Bus-a-less. (Busillis)

Busillis?
Esh-new?
(sigh) Assertion from mortality?

Dworf "A mortal, through exsessive goodness, may be chosen to server his god in passing, if he has gained sufficent intrest from that god with great deeds in his mortality. (Look over shoulder) And it would seam that Himo has done just that. (sigh) he will be missed.

DM: Off in the corrner sits the Human, who, untill now, had seamingly not been paying attention to the conversation, but now stands, and walks over to you all.

Human: However, in Himo's passing, I belive you have earned the right to learn the reason your here. With acess to the temple archives, I can enlighten you, if your willing

Human: Perhaps, it whould be best if the temple staff got the High Priests body ready for mourning, In private. (glare)

(If they dont move)
Adventres, you are dismissed, if you still wish to work for the good of the chirch, please do, but for now, leave us.

DM: as you exit the temple, you relise that word has spread rather quickly about Himo's death. Young men and women walk the hallways in silence, out of respect. You pass another accolite who kneels in a corner, praying a silent prayer to a stature of Himo.

Outside the temple, however, life goes on as usual. The usual chaos of the street goes on.

DM: It will probably take some time for the temple to prepare Himo's burial, so your free for the moment. You could contiue to help out at the chirch if you want. Or, if your not into Hetrogenious, you could allway look for work somewhere else in town. Also, your not resricted to Shanedon anymore, or even to Dowra. If you have enough supplies, you could go hiking off into the wilderness. What do you want to do?

Adventure 2

You leave the city gates, and set out for the shrine of Palstansta. You know that the shrine is quite a few miles north of here, (80 to be excast) through the hills that you can see in the distance, and that it will take you at least three or 4 days.

Seting up camp: Are you eating rations, are you hunting? are you choping down a treeto make a fire to cook your hunted meal? are you useing firewood? who's keeping watch? for how long? (remember, spellcasters need 8hours of un-interuped sleep (elf only 4) to get ready to prepare there spells) (You guys need to tell me this without me prompting you.) listen check every hour, done by me. ( 2 orc's (at 11PM first night)

(Next night 4 orcs at 1Am, and a 3 boars at 4pm (Witch provides food in its own right (Survival DC 10 to exstract, need container to store, else goes bad in a day.)

(boar attack)

Man in Dark-Blue/Brown travilers outfit, omes in before the last round, brandishing a rapier (Irish accent)

2 boars left, when one goes down, a hooded, hourse rideing figure comes dashing out of the foriest, a thin blade held like a lance. He rides up to the boar by (name) and skewers it onto his blade. He keeps rideing to the edge of the clearing, then stops is hourse, and turns it around. He removes the hood, and it seams to be a male human, of about 35 years of age, with brown hair and a light beard.

(Irish aceent) Oy! (supprised, and fast) I didn’t notice you there! (he looks down at his sword) This kill should have been yours then. ( slides the boar off of his sword)

Sorry to surprise you, been hunting deer and boar for the last week, since I left Pylos. The names Chadwick.

May I ask who you are me-friend? Jugeing from your dress, I’dd guess your a (lost priest, old fashioned hunter, student looking for Issaic)

You never heard of Issaic me friend? Where did you learn your magic? Issaic’s the best magical expert in a hundred miles. They say the man’s tryed to make himself immortal, but, that be a tricky spell to conjure, even with Issiacs knolage.

(go to issiac) Oh, your interested in learnin’ from ‘im? Oh, I’m shure he’d love to see you, but depends on how good you are at magic. I’m one of his pupils, I could give you a recommendation. But, you’d need to impress me. Do you know the simple (holds out hand, says a single word, and cures closes persons whounds) and do you know the exstrem (on exstreem, a flash of firely light comes from the same hand, but disappears in an instant) Do you?

Well, I think issiac whould love to see you. Problem is, I’m not out here just for hunting. And you three could help me make me job a lot easyer. What do you say?

(adventure) Right on the east side of this furriest are the hills of Dereen, in which, is an old, burned out chirch, overrun by who-knows-what since the attack. In that church is an artefact that interests my teacher. He wishes to study it, and then donate it to the Ray’s of the God’s monastery. I’m not much of a fighter, but, it whould appear you all are. You help me find the Deck of Eternaty, and I’ll take you to Issiac.

(Play adventure two)

Oh, Pylos? Craphole of a town. When it’s not the feather heads pushing you around, it’s the drunken sailers down by the port. I’d swear there all pirates from the way they act. But, me and me son been stuck there for the last twenty three years, and we learn to deal with it.

On top of one of the hills you can just barely make out the outline of a building, the air above it is also clouded with smoke.

After an hour or decending the hills, you come upon the shrine itself. It is indeed, more burned out building than shrine to a saint, and its floorplan looks almost the same as the last, at least as you exsamine it. Suddenly, your notice something move from behind the altar. A glint of sunlight hitting a falkerioun indecent that more of your old friends are back. (1d4 of them).

1d4 standard orcs.
Tresure:
252 gp

As the last orc falls, you start to notice all the other bodys around here. Hundrids of them, Pesents and cleric's alike, scattered along the floor, under the dust caused by the smoke. As you examine them, they are not all, whole. One of the men here has a arm missing, and a women there, beheaded. You are just reminded of Orcish cruelty. Over to the west, you can just see the town of Dowra over the hills.

What do you do?

Dowra: GP limit 2000.

Bury the dead. 100exp.
(look for a trap door) If they say, by the altar, +10 on check (Check DC 15)

It was difficult to find, with all the soot around, but you managed to find another trapdoor in remarkably the same place as last time.

Again, the corrador is 5-feet wide, So I need to know what order you'll be decending, unless your going to establish a standard procedure.

(Players decend)

The staircase is different from last time, instead of curving under the pews, this time it curves to the right, under and out the back of the church. At the end of this hallway is a already-smashed-down door, opening up into a square room. (Room 8)

NPC gear: 4 cure light whoulds( 200gp)
Masterwork light crossbow: 335
(Bolts 20)
Gem's 50gpx4
145gp

Room 13.
Inside this room is nothing but a large stone statue, kneeling next to an altar. On that alter is a smaller version of the stature, however, the smaller version seams to be made out of pure silver. next to the statue, on the alter, sits a pile of cards, tarot cards, judging by the looks.

(scene with Palistia)

You don't seam to relies something. The church has betrayed you once again. Himo is dead, and to every messenger leaving Shanedon right now, you are the killers. They know your at this shrine, and they are coming for you. I'dd suggest you leave as quickly as you could.

(Ride for Pylos)

Adventure 2 intro

DM: After what seamed like a week of nothingness, you are all summoned back into the temple, though not into the room where you met Himo. But into the sanctuary, where the common people worship. Before you can enter, however a white robed cleric stands at the door, and rases a hand to you.

Please, objects of violence are not allowed onto holy ground (he motiones to a basket on the ground.), I assure you that they will not be taken by anyone.

(players leave wepons)
Thank you. now please, the orderly is expecting you.

(Players keep weapons)
DC: 20 Intemadate check)
All right, alright, fine, keep your weapons, but don't think that anyone in there will appreciate it. (rank -1/2) attatude goes down. -1.

DM: Himo notes your arival with a glance.

Himo: Gentelmen, I'll like to introduce you to the adventures who recoved the Burial Shroud of Palstansta, and are also the reason that we are here today: (Name the name, name the name etc) and who are also our newest (Rank).

Near the altar, and seeted on the first few pews was a group of around 15-20 people, all of whom dressed in clerical garb. You are easly able to pick out there leaders, a male dwarf cleric in red robes, a female Humen cleric in purple robes, and a male elven cleric in orange robes.

Responce:

Attitude Friendly:
The Humen looks over at you and smiles.

Welcome brothers (and sisters), Himo has just finished reconting your exsploration into the chirch of St Palstansta, and we are all grateful for not just the shroud, but the information that you have gotten for us all.

The red-robed dwarf noods.
Yes, as you can no dought but tell, this information conserns not only your church, but the faiths of Boccob, Corellon Larethian, and of Kord as well.

The elf speekds up and says: Green is not a natural collor for human eyes, it is a product of elven blood, and though a little bit of recerch prior to your arival, we have concluded that St Palstansta was indeed half-elven.

And thus the elf wants St Palstansta to become a elven saint, rather than a human one. the dwarf finishes.

Thats not what this inverstagation is necessarily about, the human interjects, rather it is about St Palstansta's Sainthood, itself.

Dm: She turns to you.

Human: you are familular with the prosses of saint-afaction, correct?

(players yes)

Then you relise that somoesn can not be made a saint while being alive, and thats hat this while meating is about, is Palstansta alive?

(Players no)

As there are many different faiths in the world, it takes a long time for them to unanimously agree on the sanctification of a particular being. On advrage, it will take 30-40 years, depending on the controversy surrounding a potential saint.

"But its not about the time that it takes to sainthood that casuses this problem" The dwarf interjects. Its the fact that the candadate must be dead!"

Yes, the human said. "In order to qualify for becoming a saint, the candidate must be dead. And stay dead. If a saint is resurrected, he loses his sainthood status. Why? Look at the honor that we give saints, most mortals, from past, have abused that honor, and became corrupted out of there own sainthood.

Adn thus the problem being, that we need to determin weather Palstansta is alive or dead, and we don't know how.

(Try resurrecting her)
Unforchintly resurrection has its limits. it can only resurrect someone who'ss been dead for so long. Palstansta died almost 500 years ago, we cant stretch back that far.

Himo: and Im afraid that thats bene the state of things for that last little wile. Any Idea's adventurers?

(Idea's)

Perhaps it would help if they recounted there experience first-hand. (Someone suggests)

(Recount)

So, you shure this was not an illusion? If caraters cannot prove, Himo: I sent clerics into the ruins after they returned. They were unable to get close to the saints bead, due to a force field.)
(The removal of the blanket caused this?)

"It whould seam that the saint has an attachment to artafacts." the oraged robed elf suggects. "So, perhaps if we were to collect more of these artifacts, the saint would show herself, and we could get a fix on her location, weather in the Fields of heaven, or somewhere on this world.

"But who to send?" the Humen askes.

Himo: Well, we just so happen to have a nice group of adventures right here, don't we?

"What makes you think that the'll agree to go relic hunting for the chirch?"

(Other than the fact that they are members?) Himo turns to the adventurers. If you are able to remidy this little problem for the chirch, I'll be more than willing to tell you about PHIERAN.

Deal? Himo holds out his hand. to a random adventurer.

(Player shakes)

Wonderful, I can tell you you wont regret this.

There is another shrine to Palstansta, its to the north, though the Hills of Derreen. Its a few miles, so I wouldn't recommend going without stocking up on food and other traveling supplies.

Himo takes out a map. It shows the location of Shanedon, the Hills of Derreen, the shrine of Palstansta, and a nearby town, Dowra.

Himo: The hills are long, I'd estimate it will be a 5-6 day walk, depending on the weight of your gear, hear, take this map.(Himo gives map to closest ca rater) Don't want you getting lost.

You are then escorted out of the sancuarty, and he hand you your weapons.

(shoping)
(leave for the Palstansta shrine)

Friday 28 August 2009

Adventure 1-2 intermission

You arrive back in Shanedon just before midnight, as expected. All the shops are closed, and it is likely that most of the priests are sleeping as well, though you think that the temple must have a night staff. Or you could end up spending the night at the in. What do you do?

Inn:

Dinner:
Room: 5sp to sleep on floor with everyone each, or 2gp for a private room with chamber pot.
Breakfast: 50sp for dinner then breakfast (in all, per-person)

Go to the Temple in the darkness.

DM: The Temple's doors are still open, to let in the sick and poor, but it is staffed by the night staff. You mannage to fine one cleric who is not busy tending to the poor. He is dressed in dark green robes, but then again, it just might be the bad lighting. "Yes?" ,he asks, "here to help with feeding the poor?"

Ask about Himo

The High Priest is sleeping, it would be better if you came back in the morning if you need to see him. (The cleric yawns) Now, I'm sorry, but there are a few people here who need my help, and if you (Nunber) have the time, we could always use more hands around here for anything.

Party agrees:
The cleric smiles. Good, we could always use more healers. Or calmers, to reassure the poor. We're short handed on cooks also, please, feel free to help with whatever your good at.

Diplomacy: DC 15
Heal: DC 10
Profession (cooking)/Survival : cooking DC 5, survival, DC 10.

And so begins a night of work at the temple of Heironeous, While (name and name, defalt the clerics) tend to the whoulds of those wounded on the street (name and name, defalt the clerics) talk with the sick and depressed, telling them of grand tails of life, and why its best to live life to the fullest. All the wile, (Name and name, defalt the clerics) and a few clerics have been preparing a fantastic feast for free to everyone, cleric, beggar and adventurer alike, witch ends up as a fantastic breakfast feast.

Fail diplomasy: Though, your soothing words do little to help the emocanaly charged beggers, eventualy they fall asleep out of saidness. One of the clerics helping you turns to you and says, don't worry, its not your falt, a life a poverty will do this to a person.

Fail heal, though you are unable to Completely dress the wound, your not the only one tending to these people. A broken bone here, a slashed nerve there, its a wonder that these people stay alive in such a violent city.

Though, not all your work is in vain, (Name and name, defalt, the clerics) have been preparing a huge feast this whole night, and you all eat what could only be described as a banquet for breakfast. Working all night is not common to your bodies though, and by sunrise, you each end up falling asleep from exhaustion. (+1 rank)

You wake up a wile later to the familiar twinkle of a restoration spell. Standing over you are a few clerics, and over them is Himo, dressed now in white robes.

Himo: Hello. I think a thank you is in order. (Himo [me] shakes everyone hands in order) I just heard that a group of adventures stumbled into here, late at night, and generously offered to help out the night staff with tending to the poor. It is rare that we get volunteers, and we appreciate your help.

(Himo steps back)
Now then, come to the meating room, I wish for you to recount your findings.

(Go to the temple the next morrning)

DM: You enter into the temple. You see a few people leaving the temple also, most of them dressed in louse fabrics/poor clothing. They mumble about how nice the temple staff were to them, feeding them, giveing them a save place to sleep everynight, and how much they love the clerics for doing such a good job. (If one of the PC's helped), change that sentence too:) They mumble about how nice the temple staff and volunteers were to them, feeding them, giveing them a save place to sleep everynight, and how much they love the people who give up there own freadom for the night for doing such a good job. (all good, helping players get a +1morle boast on any check they make that dosent involve breaking the law, and loses this bonis if he/she commits an evil act.)

You ask one of the clerics that you see, and they escort you to Himo's room.

Himo takes(Or has tooken) the chair that he sat in when you last saw him. He smiles at all of you.

Himo: I am happy that you all returned safely, now please, I wish to hear an account of your adventure, what did you do, what did you find?

Players recount adventue:

Himo's commets:

Still smokeing? I'm sorry I sent you there, the gore must have been unbareable, with all the bodys everywhere.

No bodys? odd. But please continue.

In the chest with the rod, did you find anything else?

(No)
ah, well, nevermind then, please continure.

(yes)
What did you find?

(Chirch stuff)
Well, I would prefer if, instead of selling it, you donate it back to the temple, out of good will, but, as adventures, its your choice. Now then, what were you saying about this..(.....)?

(intersperse comments as well)

Floteing bones.

Wait, what? Can you repeat that?

(player repeats him/her self)

So, do you think that the removal of the Shroud caused this?

(yes,no,I dont know)

Hun, well, this is an interesting turn, I shall have to send another team into those ruins at a later time, as well as consult with a few people.

DM: Himo looks back at all of you.

I will need you (Nunber) for the investigation, of course, so I ask you not to leave the city walls untill the investigation team returns here, so you may share your findings, Oh, and one more thing...

I thank you for retriveing the shroud (and for helping to feed the poor) and, guessing that you may be doing work with the Chirch in the future, I ask you if you will allow me to grant you membership with the Temple of Heironeous?

(Party considers)
Membership is not just worship, you know. While the clerics of Heironeous will offer services to all, but often at a price, for Temple maintenance costs. To fellow members of the clergy, however, That fee is often, forgiven, because we know if we were in need of something, our fellow members will offer there services to us.

(Party disagrees)
very well, it's your choice)

(Party agrees)

Very well, I will be able to introduce you into the temple, just as soon as you understand out rule of equals:

We all help each other here. If you need a spell cast, someone razed for the dead, by all means we will be able to help you. Though, in return, we exspect you to help the temple, in any way possible: Volunteering to help with the poor, casting spells on other members behalf, or, I know! because you are adventures, and I dont think you often have enough time for these things, you can donate. If, when you come back from an exploration, you need your whoulds healed, or your friends razed, we will do so, and in exchange, you may decide to donate a small share of you tresure to the Temple hat healed you.

And remember, we offer more than just spells. we offer comfort, hearty food, a place to sleep at night, and Knowledge that the Creator shines over you.

Do you agree to help your fellow clerics, just as they help you?

(yes)

Very well,

(Name ,full name, if they come up with one), Do you agree to nourish the poor and wounded, help you fellow clerics, and punish evil for its wickedness, though heven or though hell, by the light of good?

(Repeat)

Then by the Light of the Holy Heironeous, I welcome you all into the Order of Heironeous, at the rank of (rank). Congradulations.

(Shake hands of players)

Now, I have to call the orderly here, so we can discuss your findings, but untill then, you are free to do as you wish, though I'dd prefer it if you stayed within the city walls. Thank you for your time.

DM: ok guys, you have a bit of free time now, untill Himo's orderly gets here. You can spend your days working in the city to earn some monny, you can go shoping, you could volenteer at the temple to do some good will, or you could waste your days away at the inn, drinking yourself into a stupor. I forget if any of you have Item creation feats/ ranks in craft, but if you wann make something, now's the time. You dont all hav eto to the same thing, too. If one of you ones to help at the temple, while the rest of you go drinking, or working, thats ok. And remember, nothing is bad, drinking might make you some friends, and working at the temple whould make you look favorable to the clergy, who may pray in your favor.

1st adventure

Himo looks deeply at all of you. "I sent those notes." he sayes "Because I have received a vision, a vision of death, and sickness, and I require the help of adventures such as yourselves. For, in the burned out ruins of a church's basement, not far from here, lies the Burial Shroud of Palstansta, (a saint of old). the cloke that covered here in death has been blessed with holy might and is rumored to be able to cure any affection of any body that it touches."

He looks around at you again and says "There are many poor and sick in this city, we need the powers of the Shroud to cure them. Also...

DM: Himo looks directly at (Player, closeest to CN) and says:

All I wish for you to return to me is the Shroud, I'm shure there are some things in that old church that you can consider, "Payment" for this expedition.

So, shall I tell you where it is?

(Party agree's)

DM: the elven cleric takes out an old scroll case from under his robes, and unrolles the vellum onto the table. You notice it to be a map of the surrounding countryside, with the city of Shanedon in the center. off to the right, someone had made a big X on the map in red ink.

Himo: That is where you must go, to the burned out chirch of ST. Palstansta. I'm afraid I cannot offer you any more information than this, all of the records and maps were lost when the place was pillaged by orc's not too long ago.

If you need Horses, you are free to borrow the temple's, just tell the stablehand that Himo sent you, and one last thing, Please be carfull, your not the first adventuring group I've sent into those ruins.

Where do you go now?
(Shoping, see table above)
(Ask around town)
DC 20 GI: orcs still in the old ruin.
(Stables:)

DM: It seames the priest was good to his word, and (Number of players) magnificent white stallions are parked right inside the stable. You tell the stablehand of Himo, and he helps you all on to your horses.

(Now we ride for the chirch)
The church is about two days ride from here at normal speed, however, you think that you could probability make your horses, get there by sunset. This would tire your houses, for sure, but it may or may not be better then spending a night under the stars.

(Players camp)
(Decide who's on watch, who hunts for food, who cooks)

(listen or spot check every hour for chair on watch)

1AM orc trys to sneak atteck party, if fail, try again at 3AM.

Orc tresure: 150gp, Scail mail with spikes (M) Falchion

(Player's ride) Houses fatigued, cannot ride for 5 hours.

DM: The abandoned Chirch is as as the priest decribed, burned and still smokeing in a few arias, the attack must've happened less than a week ago. As all the wall's are burned, you have no problem mapping the chirch's main floor. You know's that there is a door somewhere that will lead you down into the basement, but where?

Search check DC 10 by the altar, revielled hatch that goes under the asle.
DM: You find a hatch by the alter, covered by soot from the fire that had consumed the pews and walls. a quick check reviles that the hatch still works. What do you do?

(Down)
DM: It is quite dark down there, and the corridor is not very wide, I'll need the marching order that you'll be in.

http://www.myth-weavers.com/generate_dungeon.php?do=dungeon&width=16&roomcnt=some&height=16&minroomw=2&maxroomw=5&sparse=some&minroomh=2&maxroomh=5&random=40&secret=5&deadends=100&concealed=0&level=1&resolution=20&seed=782687951

DM: You decent down a bit spirally, then laterally, this corridor must run under the aisle. At the end of the corridor is a old wooded door(Smash DC 14). it's stuck, but it dosent look like anyone has been down here in a wile.....

DM: Witch one mighty charge (Name) easily smashes down the door. You find yourself's in a rectangular room. (room4) A femain dworf stairs at you, draws a greataxe, and charges.

Inside the room looks to be nothing more than a few roting boxes and crates. (5 pot of curelightwhoulds and 100GP, hidden Search DC 13)

Room 9: Cassy, as you pass buy, you notice that part of the wall looks, off, from the rest of it. (Search DC 5 if she points it out, otherwise DC25.

The stone door lowers into the ground, and a ghoul jumps out and attacks you in the doorway!

In the room is a dead adventurer. He has a backpack on, but other than that, he is barly reconsisable,. He's covered in bitmarks and flys. (backpack=playing cards, mirror and 150sp)

Room 8, all doors wooden and locked (Break DC 21) hp 12, hardness 5.

This looks like a break room. There are crates everywhere, but there is also a large table and chairs with a dice and playing cards, the pot is still on the table too. (200 gp)

Room six, Tomb.

The room is small. There is a stone bed in the center of the room, with a blanket on top of it, covering up something humanoid shaped.

(remove the burial shroud)

Although the blanket is taller than you, it is supriesingly light. You mannage to wrap it up and stuff it in your backpack untill you look back at the stone bed. The saints bones are levitating!
The skull's eye socckets glow a faint green, and they look at you.
What do you do?

(Attack, cast a spell)
Your sword/axe/mace/whatever meets resistance about 3 ft from the bones, witch are now forming into a faint humanoid shape
(Your spell explodes 3ft from the bones, who are rearageing themselfs into humanoid form.

The Bones finish rearangeing themselves, and now stay there, suspended, in mid-air. Skin suddely comes out of nowwheare and surrounds the bones, and Armor and chainmail upon the skin. The skull is engulfed in skin and metal, and the green glow becomes green puples. The Bones/human looks remarkably like the stone paladin from the fountain....

As soon as the Paliden is fully reconstructed, she begins to levitate higher, until touching the ceiling, and then going through it. What do you do?

1st Adventure, Town and intro

DM: You stand in the city of Shane-don, the capital city of the province of Tenamar, in the Kingdom of Eb-nen-row. You don't remember how you got here, you and your new "Friends" ended up spending alot over at the local tavern last night. All you know is that each of you were all given a ripped piece of parchment a few weeks ago by old friend and family members of yours, written in Celestial, and then told to come here to Shanedon. Of course, none of you knew what it meant until you meant this Sorcerer by the name of Daishi, last night in the Tavern. He has translated it, and had told you it spelled "PHIERAN", of course, none of you knew what THAT meant. The bartender had told you that you that he had heard the word, before, from a priest of the temple of Heironeous, here in town.

So, after deciding that you might as well work together, as your all after the same thing, you'd decided to go to (and are now standing in front of) the Temple of Heironeous. What do you do?

DC 15 Gather Information Check: tell you what barkeep told you.
DC 20 Gather information: Tell you about the temple of Phieran.

(go inside)

DM: As you walk inside this temple, you notice that this is definitely not your average Heironeous temple. Heironeous is known as the "Immortal", yet you see on the walls, paintings of maters, of death, of sacrifice, Things you'd expect to see in a temple of St. Cuthbert, god of retribution.

In found of you is a cleric, wearing Emerald-green vestments. He greets you with a smile, though you notice his disapproving glance at your weapons. He sayes: "Hello, how can I help you?"

(Who are you)
My name is Pangan, I am a cleric of PHI- (Pause) Pelor, yes, Pelor. I help the clerics of Heironeous with there day to day maintenance of the temple, and for directing visitors such as yourself.

(PHIERAN)
PHIERAN? What? oh, I'm sorry, I've never heard that name before, why do you ask?

(Show or tell him your name, and/or show him the note)
Are you Daishi the Sorrceer, and you, (Name) the fighter? Oh, I am so sorry, Sir's, please, let my show you to Himo, he will help you better than I can.

DM: You fallow him upstairs to a large, bare stone room. It whould remind you of a jail cell almost, if were it not for the furnishings. Large, comfortable chairs are arranged in a circle, with a bowl of apples on top of a table in the center. Only, one other person is in this room,a elf with Emerald green robes, though, a ligher shade than the robes worn by the cleric that escorted you here.

He gase's at the chairs, and motions for you all to take a seat.

(Party Sits)
A hello to you all, my name is Himo, how can I help you?

(ask about PHIERAN)

Ah, I assume you got your notes, then. good. How did you end up translating them though?

(Daishi: I did it) or (Player: I did it)

(Looks at player) You can speak Celestial? I very much dought it, as few mortals can, here, what does this read?

DM: Himo takes a pen, and scribles something onto a piece of parchment. He hands it to you.

(Player=understand celestial=write: "1:4 And Heironeous saw the light, that it was good: and Heironeous divided the light from the darkness of Hexor".

(player=lier=write 3 lines of scribbles)

Player fail: You should not lie to a cleric, but that is not what I need you for.......

Player say it beck correctly=

I'm impressed, very few mortals can understand Celestial, but besides that....
